AUREL's Krang is the first project I had the opportunity to direct.

As the production was really short, 2 months, I had to find a way to be as efficient as possible. That would mean no full animation, but rather animated illustrations.
I had the idea of shapes into shapes, a bit like russian dolls. Thanks to this process I could have nice and complex compositions and not so many shots.
As all my other projects, I restrited my color palette to 8 colors, with values I took from AUREL's poster.

Regarding the style I was highly influenced by Ferenc Pinter and Robert Valley.
The animation was made by Corentin Osouf who also helped me on the compositing phase.
Here are some still frames I did during the pre-production of the project.
